Belmonster Bash

Today is the day my little Belmonsters!!!

There is truly NO better way to launch into the holidays than attending the annual BELMONSTER bash. You can dress however you want, but make sure it's creative and original to nab the $250 cash prize for first place in tonight's costume contest. We are planning to do the contest around 1AM. I will be passing out "Top 5" cards to those that rank in the top five of the party. They will come on stage and we will then announce the winner! Judges will be staff members!

Make your way through the fog and strobes on over to the stage promptly at 10pm to catch GOBI! They will play until midnight, and then our live fire dancer will come out to perform!

The DJ Mashup will begin right after that and take us to 2!! (AM)

We will have amazing drink specials both upstairs and down!

This is one of our biggest parties of the year, and The Belmonster Bash is truly the hottest party downtown. See you tonight.

BELMONT ART BATTLE 2010

We are beyond excited to host THE BELMONT ART BATTLE 2010. We are going to be putting on one bad ass event for all the cool kids on Sunday, November 7th. Come for brunch and stay to check out 5 amazing, local, fresh, talented artists. Soak up the creative energy throughout the timed 3 hour challenge and stay to see who can gather the most votes and win the $500 cash prize. This live art show will pair perfectly with the fresh fall breeze as you sip-sip-sip away on a bottomless mimosa and jam out to our DJ. As an attendee, you will be given one chance to vote. The artists will be set up on the outdoor patio. As of now, the times are from Noon-3pm.

What I need from you my friends, is to pass this info along to anyone that you think would be a unique competitor in this battle. I am looking for all different syles, fashions, feels and energies as I'm hoping to put together a bunch funkier than Marky Mark ever could. Reality TV filming - Marketing, PR, Graphic Design Internship

The Director of Marketing at The Belmont seeks two college interns to help with events, street and digital marketing, lead generation, party and event planning, wine dinner parties and party hosting.
If you are interested in the field of marketing, hospitality, graphic design, entertainment and event planning...this is the perfect internship for you.
The Belmont will be filmed for a reality TV show in the coming weeks and your interview WILL be a part of the filming. I'm looking for candidates with adequate experience (some graphic design a MUST), energy, and a LOT of character!!! This is a creative and professional position and I expect to see your true colors in the interview.

The B makes the A......List!!!!

The "A" team hasn't looked this cool since the days of Mr. T. However, the Belmont brought the funk last week in the Grand REopening and made it's way onto Austin360's A-List. The rain and dreary weather couldn't stop the energy of the evening where you could hear Mr. Fabulous performing classics from 7-10 and then get down to DJ Chicken George from 10-2.

The Belmont has gone through a couple of "Grand" changes which resulted in this REopening extravaganza. First, we added local owner, Ron Hurley, to the lineup. Hearing "local" is like music to an Austinintes ear.....we are very excited. We also brought on Rich Falbo as new Executive Chef. He is passionate about recreating our menu and using organic, locally grown produce, and humanely raised meats. The Belmont has quickly turned it's leaf to become much more "Austin-y" with these changes that seem to fit our culture.

For those that loved the menu beforehand....not to worry. We are taking time to find that perfect balance of what worked before with what will work now. There are some Belmont favorites that we just can't let go of!! Please feel free to check out the new menus on our website.

NEW ways to win GUITAR GIVEAWAY!!

With the help of our extremely generous friends at Epiphone, we are enjoying playing Santa to the attendees of the Downtown Live FREE music series!! For those of you that don't know, we will be giving away the baddest musical prezzies to the best Belmonty's around! However, a whisper in the ear will not do the trick to score your free Epiphone guitar. We have nine to give away, so pay attention as I lay out some of the ways to win..............

Prize will be given away Sept. 14 at the BlueBonnets show.

4. Guitar + $500 will go to the person that conceptualizes and creates the best new Belmont website. BEWARE!! As the creator of our highly trafficed site, it will surely cause your coolness quotient to rise significantly amongst your friends, classmates,co-workers and basically everyone that know you.

5. As you're humming "Was I outta my head, was I outta my mind" in preparation for the September 21st Fastball show, keep on primping and morph yourself into your favorite rockstar of all time to win the "Dress Like A Rockstar" contest that night and walk home with your new strummer!

6. Even though Video killed the radio star.....it didn't kill your chances to WIN!! Send us your best video (as a youtube link) from an experience at The Belmont (preferrable during Downtown Live, preferrable during the Fastball show) to emerge victorious. Vampires & Bikini Team = Eternal Friends????

Vampires. Texas Bikini Team.....Oh, you want more details??

Just a mere whisper about vampires can bring a modern day "pop-tart" to an excited, out-of- breath pant, as they dream about their favorite Twilight or True Blood hottie. Well, leave it to Hollywood to bring this Michael Jackson 80's-like craze to a point of complete mockery. And there we have it ... "Vampires Suck" which will premiere today!!


So here's the scoop for this particular event. The owner of the Texas Bikini Team, Dawn Wagoneer was contacted by Regency Films/Twentieth Century Fox to see if some of her beauties from the team would be involved in the film. Hmmm, let's think about that for a quick second....YES! And the rest is history. She teamed up with MK Events owner, Michele Utt and put together a rooftop afterparty to beat all afterparties!! There will be girls from the team here from 10pm-2am signing calendars, mingling, and being beautiful. There will be drink specials and tons of raffle prizes. I'm personally going to rummage through my halloween drawer and wear my fangs...cause that's just how I roll. If you're cool, I encourage you to do the same. Cheers!

Quiet Company @ The Belmont - Downtown LIVE!

I'm a sucker for a handsome man dressed in a well tailored suit. No one told me that our third week performers would be chucked full of handsome men in suits and vests with beautiful voices and killer musical skills. Upon composing myself, I was able to enjoy Quiet Company with the rest of Tuesday nights attendees. Awesome! Sorry the video is a little shaky in the beginning, again....that whole unanticipated surprise of beauty got the best of me. haha.
