"Intern-jection!!"

Rock Out.

Have you seen my fire dancing moves?

Hello, Hello Belmont Lovers!

The Topic: FIRE and DRUMS
Location: The Belmont!
So I know all you Belmont lovers were upset this past Saturday when you couldn’t stop in for your weekly cocktail made by the adorable bartender Jorge, so let me fill you in on what you unfortunately missed out on.

This event, hosted by a top law firm in Austin, is highly anticipated each year. It is a buyout and they go all out! This year’s theme: Fire and Drums, was eccentric and one of a kind. We arrived to help out with door duty at 7pm. My sister was visiting from North Carolina, so I thought it would be a great opportunity for her to experience The Belmont at it’s best! At 8pm the doors opened and guests started pouring in.

The evening started off like a meteor and the energy continued on into the night. Music mixed by DJs from Mexico City rocked, while coconut breasted Avatar-like models provided guests with glow sticks, waiters served Tequila Sunrises, and full body-painted fire dancers mingled among the crowd. Not only did the guest list include over 1000 people, among them was Stephen Moser, Austin’s very own fashion guru, and his entourage. Although this party was exclusive, guests ranged from DJ groupies to party girls to Austin’s high society. However, they all had one thing in common…they loved this party.

When we finished working the door, we made our way through the venue just for a look. However, my sister and I were immediately drawn to the high energy and salsa beats vibrating throughout The Belmont that we decided to stay and play through the night. Hats off to the host and The Belmont for throwing such an epic event. It is no wonder employees, friends, and family look forward to it each year. Wonder what the exotic theme will be next year!

See ya around Austin!
